Leviticus 15 Star Chart: Since there are 24 hours per 360

day, each hour must be 15°. Clockwise from when "whosoever (red radius) toucheth those (unclean) things" (15:27) till he "shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even" (15:5-10) is either 210° for Perseus and Cepheus (4 a.m.)(14 hours till sunset at 6 p.m.), or 150° for Castor and Pollux (8 a.m.)(10 hours till sunset at 6 p.m.). There are an additional seven days (red radius "7") that must be added once an unusual or abnormal discharge of female menstruation stops (15:28), and once an unusual or abnormal male discharge stops (15:13) (Gonorrhea?), before each is considered clean.

This one chapter should be enough to convince any husband and wife that two SEPARATE bedrooms, two SEPARATE bathrooms and two SEPARATE kitchens are a biblical concept. Also a partition to divide the house. Notice the bloody, menstruous G-string, the white lunar semen, the straight, long erection of Pollux, the Milky Way spittle, the lunar spittle from Ophiuchus, Hercules, Drago, Cetus or Big Dog, the broken lunar pottery and washed wooden solar bowl, sun dipping below red radius horizon ("until the even") and washing in Eridanus or Milky Way water. Various diseases and germs (Gonorrhea, Syphilis, STDs) seem to be represented by the different black constellations. This is no place for the human mouth of either sex.

This chapter may be outlined as follows:

A. Bodily discharges from a man (requires EXCLUSION from the camp -- Num. 5:2 says, "put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead".)
1. (1-15) An abnormal bodily discharge (Gonorrhea?; latent flowing of semen; or blennorrhœa urethræ, a discharge of mucus arising from a catarrhal affection of the mucous membrane of the urethra (urethritis)).
2. (16-18) Normal bodily discharge (nocturnal emission -- 16-17; intercourse -- 18).

B. Bodily discharges from a woman (requires EXCLUSION from the camp -- Num. 5:2 says, "put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead".)
1. (19-24) Normal impurity during menstruation. (The menses of a woman's discharge does not last as a rule more than four or five days). Then two more days to wash clothes and take a bath. This makes seven total.
2. (25-30) An unusual or abnormal bodily discharge (12 years -- Matthew 9:20; Mark 5:25; Luke 8:43).

 



Laws of UNCLEANNESS

 

15:1 And the (Shekinah) Lord spake unto (Ophiuchus) Moses and to (Hercules) Aaron, saying,

2 Speak unto the (Gemini) children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man (Pollux) hath a running issue (sperm, blood) out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.

Hath a running issue out of his flesh; what physicians call a "gonorrhoea."

3 And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue (sperm, blood), or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.

4 Every (Milky Way) bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing, whereon he sitteth (Milky Way), shall be unclean..

5 And whosoever toucheth his bed shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

6 And he that sitteth on any thing (Milky Way) whereon he sat that hath the issue (sperm, blood) shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

7 And he that (red radius line) toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

8 And if he that hath the issue (blood, sperm) (red radius) spit upon him that is clean; then he shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

9 And what (Scorpio) saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue (blood, sperm) shall be unclean.

10 And whosoever (red radius line) toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even: and he that beareth any of those things shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

11 And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue (blood, sperm), and hath not (Eridanus) rinsed his (lunar) hands in water, he shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

12 And the (lunar) vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be (red radius) broken: and every vessel of (solar) wood shall be (Eridanus) rinsed in water.

It is thought that the pottery of the Israelites, like the earthenware jars in which the Egyptians kept their water, was unglazed and consequently porous, and that it was its porousness which, rendering it extremely liable to imbibe small particles of impure matter, was the reason why the vessel touched by an unclean person was ordered to be broken.

13 And when he that hath an issue (blood, sperm) is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself (red radius "7") seven days for his cleansing, and (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

14 And on the eighth day he shall take to him two (lunar) turtledoves, or two young (lunar) pigeons, and come before the Lord unto the (red radius) door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest:

15 And the (Castor) priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a (solar) burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord for his issue (sperm, blood).

16 And if any man's (lunar white) seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall (Eridanus) wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

17 And every (lunar) garment, and every (solar) skin, whereon is the (lunar white) seed of copulation, shall be (Eridanus) washed with water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

18 The woman (Castor) also with whom man (Pollux) shall lie with (lunar white) seed of copulation, they shall both (Gemini in Eridanus) bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

The uncleanness resulted only in case of sexual intercourse, and hence abstinence from such intercourse was a necessary part of preparation for occasions especially requiring cleanness. Ex. 19:15; 1 Sam. 21:5, 6, etc.

They shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even; so Herodotus (f) reports, that as often as a Babylonian man lay with his wife, he had used to sit by consecrated incense, and the woman did the same: and in the morning they were both washed, and did not touch any vessel before they had washed themselves; and he says the Arabians did the like: and the same historian relates (g) of the Egyptians, that they never go into their temples from their wives unwashed; see Exodus 19:15.

19 And if a woman (Pollux) have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be (red radius) blood, she shall be put apart (red radius "7") seven days: and whosoever toucheth her (kiss; handshake; hug) shall be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.




For the infant, to whom in that case she might give suck, was exempted from this pollution by the greater law of necessity, and by that antecedent law which required women to give suck to their own children.

20 And every thing that she lieth upon (Milky Way) in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon (Milky Way) shall be unclean.

21 And whosoever (red radius line) toucheth her (Milky Way) bed shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon (Milky Way) shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

23 And if it be on her (Milky Way) bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

24 And if any man lie with her (Castor, etc) at all, and her (red radius) flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean (red radius "7") seven days; and all the (Milky Way) bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

If he did this IGNORANTLY (Lev. 15:24); but if the man and woman did this KNOWINGLY, being accused and convicted, they were punished with death, Lev 20:18, for as there was a turpitude in the action, so it was very prejudicial to the children then begotten, who were commonly weak, or leprous

the possibility of menstruation commencing during the act of conjugal intercourse, when the man would be involuntarily defiled through the unexpected uncleanness of the woman.

Her monthly courses not being ceased

The common sense of all mankind has led them to avoid the gross impropriety referred to in this verse - and it has been a general opinion, that off-spring obtained in this way has been infected with leprous, scrofulous, and other deeply radicated diseases, from which they and their posterity have been scarcely ever freed. In Leviticus 20:18, persons guilty of this are condemned to death; here only to a seven days' separation; because, in the former case, Moses speaks of the act when both the man and woman were acquainted with the situation: in the latter, he speaks of a case where the circumstance was not known till afterwards; at least, so it appears these two places should be understood, so as to be reconciled.

25 And if a woman (Pollux) have an issue of her (red radius) blood many days out of the time (5 days) of her separation, or if it run beyond the time (5 days) of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.

(Matthew 9:20; Mark 5:25; Luke 8:43).

26 Every (Milky Way) bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.

27 And whosoever (red radius) toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall (Eridanus) wash his (lunar) clothes, and (Milky Way) bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the (sun at red radius line horizon) even.

28 But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself (red radius "7") seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

But if she be cleansed.—That is, cured or healed of her infirmity. The expression “cleansed” is used both here and in Leviticus 15:13 for the disappearance of the complaint. From the time of its cessation she is to count seven days, during which no trace of the complaint must be observable, just as in the case of the less innocent disorder. (See Leviticus 15:13.)

29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two (lunar) turtles, or two young (lunar) pigeons, and bring them unto the (Hercules) priest, to the (red radius) door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Sex and worship of God are separated in God's system but in the ancient pagan system worshippers had sex with temple prostitutes.

32 This is the law of him that hath an issue (sperm, blood), and of him whose (lunar white) seed goeth from him, and is defiled therewith;

33 And of her that is sick of her (red radius) flowers, and of him that hath an issue (sperm, blood), of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.

What Makes A Person UNCLEAN?

1. Contact with LEPROSY (defined broadly as infectious skin disease [-- Lev. 13:3; 22:4] or open wound [Lev. 15:5-12] molds or fungi).
2. Contact with SEMEN (unclean man) (Lev. 22:4) or MENSTRUAL BLOOD (unclean woman) (Lev. 15:19-30). "You shall not approach a woman in her time of unclean separation to uncover her separation" (Lev. 18:19).
3. Contact with a woman who has given birth to a child (Lev. 12:2)
. "And whomsoever (s)he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his (her) hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even" (Lev. 15:11).
4. Contact with a DEAD BODY, whether human or animal, whether otherwise clean or unclean (Lev. 5:2; 11:8-31;11:39; 22:4).
5. Contact with an IDOL
6. Contact with human FECES or animal MANURE. (This includes flies landing on food after visiting a manure pile. Therefore, bury all manure).
7. Eating an UNCLEAN CREATURE (Lev.11:4,11,13; Deut.14:3,7,10,12,21). Even if an animal is otherwise clean, but has died by itself, or is torn by wild animals (Lev. 22:8), that makes it unclean.


Each PRIMARY cause of UNCLEANNESS can also transmit SECONDARY UNCLEANNESS to another person by direct physical contact or by mutual contact of an intermediate object: "Whatever the UNCLEAN (person) touches shall be UNCLEAN; and the person who touches it shall be UNCLEAN" (Num. 19:22). But if something or someone was HOLY (set apart for God's service), the HOLINESS was NOT TRANSFERRABLE: "If one bear HOLY flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be HOLY? And the priests answered ... NO" (Hag. 2:12). Thus, petting dogs, playing with cats, riding a horse, milking a cow and raising chickens, most likely make a person unclean also. Paul said, "Touch not the unclean thing" (2 Cor. 6:17). Revelation 14:4 says, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins" indicating that the overwhelming majority of women don't follow Niddah laws of separation and immersion. Licking any part of another person's body with one's tongue should be avoided not only to avoid uncleanness, but because saliva breaks down and digests whatever it touches.

To be "unclean" may be connected to being "infectious". If you look at the causes of becoming unclean, the common theme of all these cases is infection. The ancient Hebrews most likely didn't know about the germ theory, bacteria or viruses that cause disease. They were given laws to prevent infection by an All-Knowing God. Every example in scripture of an unclean situation can be explained by modern science.

What Makes A Person CLEAN?

1. Those who are unclean must be excluded from the camp. Num. 5:2 says, "put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead".
2. Those contaminated are unclean until the evening (Lev. 22:6).
3. Wash your flesh with water (Lev. 22:6).
4. "Break" porous earthen vessel that contacts unclean thing (Lev. 11:33)

Some conclusions:
1.) Since no UNCLEAN person hath any inheritance in the kingdom of God (Eph. 5:5), taking a BATH regularly is required of Christians.
2.) Assume everything and everyone is unclean. Using money, pumping gasoline, riding public transport, using the public toilet, opening a door, sitting in a chair, buying food checked by cashiers, borrowing a library book all create an environment of contageous uncleanness. Many unclean men and women are employed in 40-hour a week jobs and so are not isolated or separated from society. "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one" (Job 14:4).
3.) A lake, river or ocean is a valid mikveh as well as a bath tub.
4.) Obedience to this teaching required a bath or shower every day if camping by the Tabernacle. But if there is no Tabernacle or Temple, perhaps once a week (Friday afternoon) is appropriate before coming into the presence of God on the Sabbath or Holy Days today (cp. Ex. 19:14-15). The "divers washings (baptisms)" pertaining to the Tabernacle and Temple were only "until the time of reformation" (Heb. 9:10) -- from the setting up of the Tabernacle till the Crucifixion and the destruction of the Temple. But taking preventive measures against infection have not been abolished. Being CLEAN and BATHING is still obligatory.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



"No UNCLEAN Person Hath Any Inheritance in the Kingdom of God"
Was Paul Referring to MASTURBATION & MENSTRUATION
When He Said "UNCLEAN Person"?

We know the word "MASTURBATE" and "MENSTRUATE" were not in Paul's vocabulary. They are relatively recent terms for the ancient "uncleanness". How then would Paul describe these emissions in Scripture?

He was speaking to a large extent in the SEXUAL context: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, UNCLEANNESS, lasciviousness (being sexy), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (Gal. 5:19-21). "For this ye know, that no whoremonger (visiting prostitutes), nor UNCLEAN person, nor covetous (lustful) man, who is an idolater (worshipping a female), hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God" (Eph. 5:5). "Mortify therefore your (sexual) members which are upon the earth; fornication, UNCLEANNESS, inordinate affection (worshipping a female), evil concupiscence (sexual desire), and covetousness (lust), which is idolatry (worshipping a female): For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience" (Col. 3:5-6). "Wherefore, God also gave them up to UNCLEANNESS through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor (shame) their own bodies" (Rom. 1:24). "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters (worshipping females), nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind (sado-masochism), Nor thieves, nor covetous (lustful), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are WASHED, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Cor. 6:9-11). Notice that covetousness and lust are associated with UNCLEANNESS. What is this UNCLEANNESS? Since uncleanness is inevitable, why did Paul say no unclean person will inherit the Kingdom of God? (Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:3-6; Col. 3:5-6; 1 Cor. 6:9-10) Because some uncleanness is a deliberate choice: masturbating for men and refusing to practice Niddah (separation & bathing for 7 of every 28 days) for women. MASTURBATION is a separate category from adultery, fornication and being a whoremonger (visiting prostitutes). Having sex with a MENSTRUANT is also UNCLEAN. We must bring every thought into captivity to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). "Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit" (2 Cor. 7:1). Your MIND can be UNCLEAN too.

Paul was referring to this 15th chapter of Leviticus which talks about UNCLEANNESS in the SEXUAL context, and specifies sexual SEPARATION and WASHING as solutions. In addition to MASTURBATION making a person UNCLEAN, MENSTRUATION can also make a man UNCLEAN. Before a man gets married, he must ask his wife-to-be if she will obey NIDDAH. If she won't SEPARATE for seven days a month, he will live for the rest of his married life in a state of CONSTANT UNCLEANNESS -- and FORFEIT the KINGDOM if this is the meaning of Paul's words. From age 12 to age 50, women are UNCLEAN about seven days per month. God is offering every woman a vacation from being a mother and wife for one week each month by means of SEPARATION.

Some conclusions:

1.) Menstruation and Separation

Did God tell menstruous women to SEPARATE from society for 7 days per month?

Yes, because Numbers 5:2 says, "put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead."

The Hebrew word for "unclean" is "tame" which literally means "polluted" (Strong's Hebrew #2931). The Greek word for "unclean" is "akathartos" which means "impure or foul" (Strong's Greek #169). This is real uncleanness, not ceremonial or ritual. To be unclean simply meant that you were infectious. If you look at the causes to be unclean this becomes clear. You could become unclean by touching a dead body (Lev. 5:2), by childlbirth (Lev. 12:2), by disease (Lev. 13:3), during a menstrual cycle (Lev. 15:19), when you have an open wound (Lev. 15:5-12), ejaculation (Lev. 22:4) etc. The common theme of all these cases is infection. The ancient Hebrews most likely didn't know about the germ theory, bacteria or viruses that cause disease. They were given laws to prevent infection by an All-Knowing God. Every example in scripture of an unclean situation can be explained by modern science.

It is important to remember that to be unclean was not sin. It was a normal occurence on a regular day-to-day basis of living. That does not mean that sin could not cause uncleanness. When someone had a disease such as the botch of Egypt or scabs it was due to sin (Deut. 28:27). These diseases were probably the result of breaking God's kosher food laws or unclean health laws. God's laws protected the individual and society from infection. Menstruation is not sin, but the discharge is infectious.

We must constantly ask ourselves, "What is the intent of the law?" Then Isaiah 28:10 says the Bible is written "precept ... upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little". We need to study the Bible as if it were a law book and we were lawyers. So we must "rightly divide ... the word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15). "You shall not add to the words that I command you" (Deut. 4:2) by keeping a woman separated 12-14 days, when only seven are required. Using these principles, let's take a look at the question of separating a menstruous woman:

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be PUT APART seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even. And if any man lie with her at all, AND HER FLOWERS be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean (Lev. 15:19-24).

We believe this passage means that a woman has to be separated from her household for seven days when she is menstruating. This is the Orthodox Jewish understanding. But they add an additional seven days which is tradition. Jews followed their traditions over the commandments of God (Matt. 15:3; Mark 7:6-7), and Conservative and Reform Jews don't agree with the Orthodox on this point. This law refers to separating the women from the household so that the discharge won't come into contact with people. This includes separating partners from sexual activity. The topic is a seven-day period of menstruation, not an additional seven-day clean period of separation of the woman from her household.

Sanitary pads women use today do a wonderful job of keeping it off of chairs, couches and beds. These are the "filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6) or menstrual rags (Strong's H5708). In addition, there should be separate beds, separate bathrooms and separate kitchens and a partition that divides the house in two. Separate cars and even separate houses are ideal for the seven-day period. It is a vacation once a month for the wife and mother when she needs it most. But because the overwhelming majority of women won't follow these Niddah laws of separation, Revelation 14:4 says, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins."



Is More Than One Baptism Required For Salvation?

Since no UNCLEAN person hath any inheritance in the kingdom of God (Eph. 5:5), taking a BATH regularly is required of Christians. It was not a new concept that John the Baptist invented. BAPTISM was one of three requirements for the conversion of a proselyte to Judaism. "One is not a convert until he is circumcised and IMMERSES" (Seder Nashim, Tractate Yevamot, Gemara, ch.4, Folio 46b). Then a sacrifice was the third. But where did that idea of IMMERSION of converts come from? Before receiving the law on Mount Sinai, the people were required to WASH their clothes (and by implication themselves also) and stay away from their wives (menstruation & ejaculation make a person unclean again) (Ex. 19:14-15). Exodus 19:10 and 1 Sam. 16:5 are understood to denote BAPTISM by Maimodides (Issurah Biah 13). Was that ancient BAPTISM merely a once-in-a-lifetime event? IMMERSION upon conversion only? Many "Christian" churches seem to think so. But if Israelites -- after being BAPTIZED -- then touched an unclean thing, they must be BAPTIZED AGAIN. "Baptism must be REPEATED as a means of PURIFICATION from sin, and proof against disease" (Encyc. Brit. vol. 8, p. 842, 11th ed.). They were required to "WASH their clothes and BATHE with water" and were "unclean till evening" (Lev. 15:5). It was a regular way of life. Josephus says the Essenes BATHED DAILY in a mikveh (Wars 2:8:5). This is "the doctrine of BAPTISMS" (Heb. 6:2) plural -- not just one BAPTISM at conversion -- or at Mount Sinai. BAPTISMS are still obligatory. From Lev. 11:32; 13:54-58; 14:8; 15:1-27; 16:24-28; 17:15; Num. 19:19 and Deut. 23:11 we see a way of life. The early church met near a RIVER for this reason (Acts 16:12-13) and Paul said, "Touch not the unclean thing" (2 Cor. 6:17). Why not touch a corpse? Why not touch a menstruant? Because "no unclean person hath any inheritance in the kingdom" (Eph. 5:5). Today sinks have been provided to IMMERSE dirty hands and bathtubs have been provided to IMMERSE dirty bodies. Good sanitation and hygiene require it just as much today as in ancient times. Yes, more than one BAPTISM is required for salvation.
