From Louis XVI's Birth to the Triple Alliance1And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. Chapter 15 resumes the theme which was broken off at the end of chapter 11:14 by the supplementary parallel visions (chapters 12, 13 & 14). All the events from Revelation 9:13 to 11:14 occurred during the era of the Sixth Trumpet or Second Turkish Woe. The Reformation (Rev. 10 & 11) still belongs to the Sixth Trumpet era. Even the Treaty of Carlowitz in 1699 A.D. (chapter 14) belongs to the Sixth Trumpet. The Seventh Trumpet or Third Woe comes "quickly" and encompasses everything from the French Revolution in 1793 A.D. forward to today. "And I saw another sign (of the zodiac) in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels (seven "wandering stars" or planets -- Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Mercury in that order from Ephesus to Laodicea -- Rev. 2-3) (who pour out an army flood from each Cup of Wrath) having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God (15:1). God was angry at Roman Catholic France for the Saint Bartholemew Massacre in 1572 and for the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, among other things. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire (See Ex. 24:10; Milky Way; North Sea; Atlantic Ocean ; "fiery trials" -- 12 Pet. 4:12): and them (constellations; Jews & Christians) that had gotten the victory over the beast (Hydra, Leo, Ursa Major & Ursa Minor; Holy Roman Empire), and over his image (Capricornus; Moslem goat -- Dan. 8), and over his mark (unique identifying stars on forehead or hand; cross or "in the name of Allah"), and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass (Milky Way; North Sea; Atlantic Ocean), having the harps of God (Gemini, Lyra & Taurus all have harps) (15:2). What is the "SEA of GLASS"? This "SEA of GLASS" represents the North Sea surrounding most of the Protestant nations of Europe like a moat. They have made their "stand" on it. "Glass" is clear, reflective, green and flat just like water. Also a "SEA" is "PEOPLES" (Rev. 17:15) before the Throne of God (Rev. 4:6) and "mingled with FIRE" -- going through "fiery TRIALS" (1 Pet. 4:12). Papal Europe is the SEA of GLASS that Protestant saints "stand" over -- rule over -- now that the "Times of the Gentiles" are completed. Papal Europe failed to repent under the Turkish "Sixth Trumpet" that passed away in 1699 A.D. by the Treaty of Carlowitz. Papal Europe also rejected the Reformation. Therefore, God's wrath was expressed through the "Third Woe" or "Seventh Trumpet" which followed "quickly." "Shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?" (Luke 18:7). In the eighteenth century the growth of infidelity and atheistic Communism led to the French Revolution -- a judgement on Papal Christendom. The anti-Papal French "Reign of Terror" began in 1793 A.D., exactly 1,260 years (Rev. 13:5-10) after Justinian's Imperial Decree in 533 A.D. acknowledging the Pope as head of Christendom. These plagues are the "last" and in them is "filled up" God's wrath. Israel's taskmasters are about to be destroyed so that Israel can enter into her promised inheritance. Israel is the Protestant nations of Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, England, Scotland and Holland. To these chosen must be added the overseas British Dominions which are also Protestant: Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Finally, the "great people" of the United States form the largest single Protestant nation. More and more of God's people have politically "come out of Babylon" and emigrated overseas to this "multitude of nations" (Gen. 17:5-8) promised to Abraham. 3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. Christians in small European groups (Gemini), as well as the United States (Lyra -- eagle with harp) and British Empire (Taurus standing on its horns) nationally, all stand on the Milky Way. And they sing the song of Moses which is first, Exodus 15:1-21 -- The drowning of Pharaoh's (the Pope's) Egyptian pursuers (Catholic Spanish Armada) in the Red (North) Sea in 1447 B.C. (1588 A.D.) and death of Catholic soldiers in the more recent Turkish Flood from the Euphrates and second, Deut. 32:1-43 -- The Eternal, like a mother eagle, took "her young ... on her wings" and brought Israel (Pilgrims and Puritans) to the Promised Land (United States) in 1407 B.C. (1624 A.D.) and blessed them with a fruitful land (American Independence in 1783). Also they sing the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints (15:3). Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest (15:4). Israel sings the song of their deliverance from Papal bondage. There were actually two "Songs of MOSES." Moses and Israel sang the first, after God, through the priestly ministry of Moses and Aaron, had poured out the plagues on idolatrous Egypt which led to Israel's exodus and to the drowning of their Egyptian pursuers in the Red Sea. The second song was sung after Moses had led Israel through the wilderness period of trial and sanctification, and after Jericho had fallen, and when Israel stood on the edge of the Promised Land ready to enter God's Kingdom in Canaan (Ex. 15:1-21 and Deut. 31:30; 32:1-43). This proves that the story of Israel in Egypt, the Exodus, the wilderness journey, and the entry into the Promised Land, is an allegory of the Protestant Reformation, of the outpouring of the seven plagues of Revelation on Continental Europe, and of the deliverance of the Protestant Anglo-Saxon Israel nations and their establishing God's Kingdom on earth -- in type known as the BRITISH EMPIRE. This is confirmed by the similarity of the Apocalyptic plagues to those of ancient Egypt. God's people sang the "Song of the Lamb" which indicates that they accepted the "PASSOVER Lamb" rather than the Roman Catholic MASS of "Transubstantiation." The Protestant nations accept Jesus Christ's sacrifice for their sins. These three songs show that the time of the seven vials, the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, is the national EXODUS of Protestant Israel from "EGYPTIAN-Babylonian" Catholic idolatry, false doctrines, spiritual slavery and oppression and of Israel becoming God's servant. Let's now translate these songs into their latter-day counterparts using the recent history of Protestant nations. The first "Song of MOSES" (Exodus 15:1-21) has an obvious fulfillment. Yes, the SPANISH ARMADA was "thrown into the sea" (15:1) and the Spanish soldiers were "cast into the sea" in 1588 (15:4). "His chosen (Spanish) captains also are drowned" (15:4) "The depths have covered them; they sank into the bottom as a stone" (15:5). The Armada's total weight was 60,000 tons. "Thy wrath ... consumed them as stubble" (15:7), not only from British broadsides, but because Drake and his fire ships spread havoc in the Spanish galleons. "And with the blast of thy nostrils ... Thou didst blow with thy wind; the sea covered them; they sank as lead in the mighty waters" (15:8-10). Winds blew the Armada off her course and smashed many ships on the rocky coasts of France, Norway, Scotland and Ireland (cp. Ps. 48:7). "With his chariots ... The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea" (15:19-21). We are sure the Spanish took "wagons" with them in their ships (p.20, Defeat of the Spanish Armada by Close) and this implies also horses to pull them. Of the 30,000 Spanish soldiers and sailors who had sailed in the Armada, scarcely 10,000 returned home. Of the 130 Spanish ships that set sail, only 53 returned home. No more than 100 English sailors were killed and none of the English ships were lost. In acknowledgment of the Providence of God, numerous medals were struck illustrating the deliverance and with the words inscribed "He blew with his winds and they were scattered." Thus England sang the "Song of MOSES" figuratively. The Dutch also experienced an armada when Spain sent 20,000 troops by sea from Spain to Dunkirk in 1639. This fleet was destroyed by the Dutch navy under Maarten Tromp and Witte deWith in the Battle of the Downs. The Dutch sources mention one Dutch ship lost and about a hundred Dutch dead. Historian M.G de Boer puts Spanish losses at 40 ships and 7000 men. In 1596 the British and Dutch fleets caused 32 Spanish ships to be scuttled or sunk in the Bay of Cadiz and then looted the town before burning it. There were 2000 killed and ten ships lost on the British-Dutch side. The second "Song of Moses" (Deut. 32:1-43) has anti-type fulfillments in British and American history. "Remember the days of old ... When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the lord's portion is His people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance" (Deut. 32:7-9). In the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, the Papacy divided the New World of North and South America among Latin nations of Spain and Portugal (Treaty of Tordesillas -- 1494) as if the pope were God. It seemed as if Spain, Portugal and France were to become mighty Catholic empires in contradiction to God's limit for the non-Israelite sons of Adam as well as his limit of their territorial "bounds." Then came the amazing and miraculous expansion of Protestant England. Victory after victory of her navies and armies, often against ridiculous odds, which represented nothing less than Yahweh's protection, led to the defeat of Latin colonialism. At the end of the eighteenth century, Spain had lost her West Indian possessions while her South American colonies revolted from her. France was defeated in both India and Canada by the victories of Clive at Plassey, 1757, and Wolfe at Quebec, 1759. Although a French explorer discovered Australia first, it became British. The French were beaten to New Zealand by a British Frigate only one day before the French arrived. The (seven) "times" punishment of the "Gentile" Israelites were over. The "bounds" of their "inheritance" had been set. God had set aside certain lands for Israelites to become a "Company of Nations" and a "Great People" (Gen. 35:10,11; 48:19). This Providence of God was recognized by British armies, navies, merchants, colonists and missionaries. They were the "Lord's Portion" of the earth, "Jacob, the lot of His inheritance" and "His servant nation." The pulpits and press of Britain resounded with this portion of Moses' second song. "As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings, So the Eternal alone did lead him ... He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; Butter of kine (cows), and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape" (Deut. 32:11-14). This portion of the "Song of Moses" refers to God as our EAGLE who has led us to a BOUNTIFUL land and taught us to fly. This foretells the United States of AMERICA which was colonized in 1620 by Holland's Pilgrims at Plymouth and in 1629 by Puritans at Boston who wanted to be purified of "popish taints" in the Anglican Church and build a "new Zion." They fought against "arbitrary power" and "enforced conformity" in England and when persecuted, fled to Holland, then America. It is no accident that the city of "Boston" and counties of "Norfolk," "Suffolk" and "Essex" became names of Massachusetts brought over from England. The United States declared its independence (1776) and expanded by declaring its "Manifest Destiny" to spread the ideas of liberty, republican institutions and the Protestant Church. When we sing "America the Beautiful" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" we are repeating these Biblical themes. Thomas Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Territory (827,987 square miles of land) for about $15 million from Napoleon in 1803. That's less than four cents per acre. Florida was purchased from Spain for $5 million in 1819. Americans were invited into Texas by Mexico's Santa Anna in 1821. Within ten years there were about 30,000 Americans and 3,500 Mexicans in Texas and the Americans demanded greater representation. Instead they got independence. After defeating Mexico in1848, America paid Mexico $15 million for California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Wyoming (525,000 square miles of land). Russia sold Alaska to America in 1867 for $7,200,000 -- about two cents per acre. Joseph's "branches" ran "over the wall" (Gen. 49:22). The "Song of the Lamb" sung by Protestant nations of Britain, America and Scandinavia during this time was the spiritual revivals that took place and the hymn-writing during this era. For example, Charles Wesley wrote some 6,500 hymns. Missionary and Bible Societies sprang up. The British and Foreign Bible Society was formed in 1804 and the American Bible Society in 1816. The American Declaration of Independence was in itself a song of deliverance providing both civil and religious liberty to an oppressed world. 5And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. The temple scenes in Revelation 15:5-8 and in Revelation 11:19 link the seventh trumpet with the seven vials. What does the "TEMPLE in HEAVEN" mean? Astronomically, Aquarius gives a full bucket or Cup to each of the seven stars (angels) or seven planets who pour out an army flood from each Cup of Wrath ending in "Crater -- an empty cup 180 degrees opposite. It is appropriate that AQUARIUS be the one giving the seven cups of wrath since AQUARIUS is linked to REUBEN (Gen.49:3-4 "first-born ... unstable as water") which is located in FRANCE from where most if not all the wrathful cups originated. Not only was Voltaire's infidelity FRENCH (first cup) and Napoleon's aggression FRENCH (second to fifth cups), but most of the fighting of World War One occurred in FRANCE (seventh cup). The smoke in this astronomical Temple is the Milky Way. Historically, during the New Covenant age, the ISRAELITES themselves become "a TEMPLE of living stones" (1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19; 2 Cor. 6:16; 1 Pet. 2:5-9) in the political heaven and are no longer under the feet of "Gentile" powers. "Pure and WHITE LINEN" is the "RIGHTEOUSNESS of saints" (Rev. 19:8). Not being able to enter the Temple (15:8) is taken from Exodus 40:35-37 and means that Papal Europeans were not able to emigrate to Protestant Anglo-Saxon nations, or convert to Protestantism, while the French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, and other crises were occurring. The ARK of GOD in the midst of the Temple (Rev. 11:19) means the "GLORY of GOD" has RETURNED to the Protestant Anglo-Saxon nations (1 Sam. 4:21). This began in the Revolution of 1688, the expansion of England; the rise of America; the great revival of religion and the dawn of worldwide missions. The siege and heroic defense of Londonderry (1689), the Battle of the Boyne (1690), and the victories of Marlborough (1702-1713) were milestones in the struggle led by William of Orange against the Papal foe. The struggle between Protestant England and Catholic France from 1688 till 1815 resulted in British victories on the continent of Europe, in India (1757) and in Canada (1759). The British Empire and the United States in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries became a type of the Kingdom of God and have continued their God-given role. British arms played a part in the first vials (cups) in the Napoleonic era. Both British and Americans destroyed Germany, Austro-Hungary and Turkey in 1914-1918. Again, both British and Americans destroyed the Nazi-Fascist powers in 1939-1945. But Catholics disapproved: "It is a sin and even an insanity to hold that men have inalienable right to Liberty of Conscience and Worship, or to deny that Rome has the right to repress by all force all religious observance save her own, or to teach that Protestants in a Catholic country should be allowed the exercise of their religion." -- Roman Cardinal Manning "If Catholics ever gain sufficient numerical majority in this country, religious freedom is at an end." -- Catholic Bishop of St. Louis, 1851. On the 10th of May, 1774, Louis XV died. On the same day Louis XVI came to the throne of France. At this point -- the accession of Louis XVI in 1774 -- Carlyle, like Adison, begins his history of the French Revolution. Remarkably, from the era of Nabonassar in 747 B.C., the starting point of the Kingdom of Babylon, 2520 solar years bring us to 1774 A.D. The Huguenots had tried to reform outside the Roman Catholic Church. The Jansenists had attempted a reformation within the Roman Catholic Church. Both movements had been defeated and suppressed with utmost tyranny and cruelty by king and pope. Therefore an infidel French revolution was all that was left. Men without any self-restraint who turned all things sacred into mockery. All they could do was destroy corrupt government and corrupt religion. But in England, Switzerland and America, great democratic movements have been built on the foundation of the Bible and righteousness. Puritans of England and New England who feared God and not man laid the foundation. There was an ominous storm on the wedding night of Marie Antoinette to Louis XVI. With the pressure of financial distress, the Parliament of Paris demanded in 1789 "that the states-general should be assembled to devise relief of the country." Nearly 200 years had elapsed since this "disused and almost forgotten body" had been called into existence. The third estate was to be double the number of the other orders. By this arrangement power was at once transferred to the lower classes who had been without political influence. The Commons insisted that the verification of the powers of the three estates should be conducted by the whole body and awaited the coming of the other two orders -- Clergy and Nobility. After five weeks of fruitless negotiations, the Commons took a bolder step and declared themselves the National Assembly. It was an act of usurpation which marked the commencement of the Revolution. The king threatened and commanded them to separate. They refused. This defiance of the king's authority was submitted to by the court, and from that day power passed into the hands of the Assembly. Two popular parties strove for ascendancy in the National Assembly -- the Girondists and the Jacobins. The Girondists stood for the sovereignty of right over force; intelligence over prejudices; people over government and reason for authority. The Jacobins were of a different character. Robbers, assassins and immoral low class people. They dressed in shabby attire and attended poorly lighted meeting halls to prepare lists of names deserving death. In order to become a member, you were asked, "What have you done to be hanged if the ancient regime is restored?" The feeling of deserved punishment constituted the bond of their unholy fraternity. The leaders of this party were Danton (ravaged by smallpox -- 16:2), Marat (afflicted with a debilitating chronic skin disease called dermatitis herpetiformis -- 16:2), Robespierre (self-inflicted bullet wound to his jaw -- 16:2), Billaud Varennes, St. Just ("just and true are thy ways" --15:3), and Collot d'Herbois -- names destined to acquire notoriety in French annals, because the Jacobins gained ascendancy and seized the government of France. The Republic was established in 1793. Then came the Reign of Terror (1,022,000 people slaughtered) which culminated in the rise of military despotism, and all the terrible wars of Napoleon. The people confiscated all the vast revenues of the Church, all the domains of the Crown, and all the estates of nobles and made all church, state and judicial power throughout the country subject to the people. They murdered the king's bodyguard, then the king (Jan. 21st, 1793) and then the queen. Thousands were mowed down by grape-shot fusillades; drowned in loaded ships; roasted alive in heated ovens, or tortured to death in other ways. Churches closed (Nov. 23, 1793). Christianity was publicly denounced, and a prostitute enthroned as "goddess of reason" at Notre Dame, and worshipped by the National Convention, and by the mob of Paris, with the wildest orgies of licentiousness (morality as well as mercy having perished with religion). An ass was made to drink the sacramental wine; Sunday was abolished, and the decade was substituted for the week. Thousands of priests were massacred or driven into exile, and the churches and cathedrals turned into stables and barracks; no baptism or funeral service; no sermons; In lieu of services of the Church, licentious fetes were performed by immoral females. On every tenth day a revolutionary leader preached atheism to the bewildered audience; Marat was universally deified; and even the instruments of death were sanctified by the name of the "Holy Guillotine." Notre Dame in Paris was converted into the "Temple of Reason." Berthier marched on Rome and set up a Roman Republic and took the Pope captive to France where he died. French troops pillaged the city of Rome of all its treasures. Massacres throughout France for five years left more than 30,000 massacred in Lyons; at Nantes 27,000; in Paris 150,000; in La Vendee 300,000. In all France, about 2 million. Many victims experienced a mock tribunal with Maillard for its president who condemned them all to a vengeful populace after a few minutes, often a few seconds, of proceedings. July 27, 1794 Robespierre was executed which ends the Reign of Terror. Then February 1800 Napoleon is declared First Consul of France at age 30 in a bloodless takeover. And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: (15:5) And the seven angels came out of the temple (planets crossed the celestial equator at the location just after Aquarius), having the seven plagues (the bucket of Aquarius full of the Sun), clothed in pure and white linen (daylight predominates in summer; "righteousness of saints" -- Rev. 19:8), and having their breasts girded with golden girdles (planetary crescents reflect sun's glory; rifles with brass bands; British fire ships with brass bows; Napoleon's brass cannons; fiery planes and rockets) (15:6). And one of the four beasts (Aquarius or Reuben or France -- Gen. 49:3-4; Louis XVI's reign -- May 10th, 1774 - August 10th, 1792) gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God who liveth for ever and ever (15:7). (sunlight from Aquarius's bucket shines on a half moon that looks like a full cup as well as half planets that look like full cups). From 1758 to 1770, infidel, atheistic literature flooded France. The voices of Voltaire, Diderot, Boyle and Rousseau waged a literary war agitating for APOSTASY against Roman Catholicism leading to massacres and confiscations against Catholics as well as the aristocrats and Royalty that supported them. The anti-Papal French "Reign of Terror" began in 1793 A.D., exactly 1260 years (Rev. 13:5-10) after Justinian's Imperial Decree in 533 A.D. acknowledging the Pope as head of Christendom. And the temple (celestial canopy) was filled with smoke (Milky Way) from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled) (15:8). These wine dregs are for the wicked to drink (Ps. 75:8; 11:6). Plagues are poured on Catholic Europe (Egypt) so the Pope (Pharaoh) will "Let my people go" and so they will "Come out of Babylon" (Protestant Reformation) and emigrate to this "multitude of nations" (Gen. 17:5-8) promised to Abraham known as the BRITISH EMPIRE or "Promised Land." Notice that from "a golden crown" (14:14) on the head of Sagittarius (Peace of Ryswick -- 1697 A.D.) to the full "golden cups" given by Aquarius (15:7), (Louis XVI born 23 August 1754 A.D.) is 57 degrees or 57 years. If chapter 15 and 16 go together, then from the sun in Aquarius (making a full cup, ch. 15:7) till the sun moves to Gemini (and "scorch[es] men with fire," ch. 16:8) are 129 degrees or years from the French Revolution & Storming the Bastille (1789) till the end of World War One (1918). Or from the "Reign of Terror" (1793) till the Turkish Sultan abdicated (1922). Or from the birth of Louis XVI in 1754 till the Triple Alliance was signed in 1883. Although World War One didn't start till 1914, political movements that led to the war started in May 1883 when Germany, Austro-Hungary and Italy signed the Triple Alliance. In October 1883, Rumania and Austria-Hungary signed a secret alliance to which Germany adhered. The Reinsurance Treaty which previously had been signed by Russia and Germany lapsed in October 1883 and Germany refused to resign it. Louis XVI lived from 1754 -1793 or 39 years. From the Triple Alliance (1883) to the Turkish Sultan abdicating and fleeing his Ottoman Empire (1922) is 39 years. Both "forty stripes save one" (2 Cor. 11:24). Both set in motion foregone conclusions. In each case there were foolish alliances made with foreign nations guaranteeing the destruction of the French to preserve the Catholic status quo. In both cases, the French people resisted and were triumphant. If Aztlan has its own modern "Saint Bartholemew Massacre" in the capital of Olympia (paralleling Paris in 1572 when Hueguenots were murdered in their beds by Catholics wearing white scarves -- St. Bartholemew's Massacre) we believe Washington State writers will flood Aztlan with anti-Catholic literature and broadcasts causing ten states to "hate the whore" and start a revolution. "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done, is that which shall be done" (Eccl. 1:9). God says, "I change not" (Mal. 3:6). He is "the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb. 13:8). |
