Exodus Chapter 27 Star Chart: Israelites began construction of the Tabernacle after Yom Kippur of 1446 B.C. "when Moses came down from the mount" (Ex. 34:29) (his second coming). Work on the Tabernacle was completed by "the first day of the first month" (Ex. 40:2) of 1445 B.C. Therefore it took about six months total.

Within that time frame, clockwise from when Moses (Ophiuchus) was told: "thou (Ophiuchus) shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. And thou shalt make the horns of it (60°) upon the four (red radius) corners thereof: his (red radius) horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with (solar) brass" (27:1-2) is four complete revolutions (4 x 360°) or 60 days to complete.

"And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen (solar) rings in the four (red radius) corners thereof" (27:4) is four complete revolutions (4 x 360°) or 60 days to complete.

"And thou shalt make (red radius) staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with (solar) brass" (27:6) (360°)...."as it was shewed thee in the (red radius zodiac) mount, so shall they make it" (27:8). This work took 15 days to complete.

"And thou shalt make the court of the (red radius) tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined (white) linen (Milky Way) of an hundred cubits long for one side: And the twenty (red radius) pillars thereof and their twenty (lunar) sockets shall be of (solar) brass; the (crescent) hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of (lunar) silver" (27:9-10). (10 x 360°) This work took 150 days to complete.

"And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty (red radius) pillars and their twenty sockets of (solar) brass; the (lunar crescent) hooks of the (red radius) pillars and their fillets of (lunar) silver." (27:11) (10 x 360°) This work took 150 days to complete.

"And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their (red radius) pillars ten, and their (solar brass) sockets ten." (27:12) (5 x 360°) This work took 75 days to complete.

"And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits." (27:13) (5 x 360°) This work took 75 days to complete.

Christ in the Tabernacle (part 3)

27:1 And thou (Ophiuchus) shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.

2 And thou shalt make the horns of it (60°) upon the four (red radius) corners thereof: his (red radius) horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with (solar) brass..

The altar was made of wood from the acacia tree and overlaid with bronze (usually symbolic of judgment on sin in the Bible), measuring 7.5 feet on all four sides and 4.5 feet deep. Four horns projected from the top four corners and a bronze grating was inside to hold the animal. The altar was the place for burning animal sacrifices. It showed the Israelites that the first step for sinful man to approach a holy God was to be cleansed by the blood of an innocent creature. For a sin offering, a person had to bring an animal — a male one without blemish or defect from the flock or herd — to the priest at the tabernacle gate. “He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.” (Leviticus 1:4) By laying his hand upon the head of the offering, his sin and guilt was being moved from himself to the animal. The priest would then slaughter the animal, sprinkle its blood in front of the veil of the Holy Place, burn the sacrifice, and pour the rest of it at the bottom of the altar. Blood is a significant agent of atonement (i.e., covering for sin) and cleansing in the Old Testament. “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.” (Leviticus 17:11) “The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)
